I have made my decision on the target audience for my magazine, overall they will be young students who regularly go to music gigs. This is a big target audience as most students are into music so want to be kept up to date with the latest music trends. I will be pricing my magazine at £2.20 as it isn't expensive for the average student and it will be a weekly magazine. I want to focus my magazine on new upcoming artists rather than classic bands, and because of this I won't focus on any bands before the 1900's. I also want to cover upcoming artists but readers may not have heard of them yet. My magazine will have to mention some bigger bands so people will buy the magazine but I will keep them modern and within the genres mentioned in my reader profile.
